*--YVETTE johanna LEDEAUX
i am restless and i keep trembling
"so, for the record, can i get your name?"
“Hi, I’m Yvette Johanna Ledeaux. It’s a very French name, isn’t it? I don’t think there’s really a story behind my name to be honest. Every aspect of my name is French. Yvette just sounds pretty. Johanna is the only name that can have any sort of meaning, I suppose. Johanna was my mother’s, mother’s name. She helped out my family a lot when I was little, and while my mother was pregnant with me. Ledeaux has just been in the family for years. There isn’t much to my name, no nicknames or anything… well, I did have a few at some point, but those days are gone so now it’s just Yvette.”
"wow. that's awesome. so, where were you born?"

“Uhm, well, I was born in Paris, France on December 31, 1991 – so that makes me nineteen, in case you’re bad at math like I am. There really isn’t anything special to say. I was born when it was snowing out on the last day of the year. I guess that’s something special, right?”
"huh, cool. i gotta say, hon, you are gorgeous."

“Thank you. I guess it’s only natural that I would disagree, but I can’t say that I do. I mean, I don’t think I’m gorgeous, but I don’t think I’m the opposite either. I’m more on the tall side, standing at a good 5’8” – I have long legs and a somewhat long torso. I weigh about 120 pounds and I’m pretty thin. I don’t really understand why, I like to eat which is something I freely admit. I’m just glad that I don’t really gain a lot of weight when I go to an all you can eat buffet. Only all I can eat really isn’t that much considering that I since I’m used to having a lot of small things to eat a day. So I eat a lot, like I said, but feed me a meal and I’ll be hungry two hours later. I guess that’s a complicated way of saying that despite my height I’m a petite person.
“As far as what my frame holds… I have a long neck to go with the rest of me. I think I have a pretty face; my eyes are bright and an unusually bright shade of blue to match. My eyes are an almondy shape, only more on the small side. They are probably my more striking features though. I wear natural looking makeup, but I think that just makes my eyes brighter honestly. I can’t really complain though. I don’t really wear more than eye makeup. Occasionally I put on some powder so that I look like I have more of an even tone to my face, but I have naturally rosy cheeks so I don’t do too much to my skin. To finish up my face I have a small nose, a somewhat small mouth with white, straight teeth and a mess of blonde curls. Depending on whether or not I have the time, I straighten my hair and then re-curl it so that it looks tame for once.
“That’s my general appearance. As far as clothes, I’m more of a casual person. I do like dressing up in fancy dresses though. I like to wear sundresses, jeans, sweats, anything that’s comfortable. Most days I go for cuteness over comfort, but I also love the days that I could care less and just walk around in sweats.”
"intriguing. how's your sex life?"
"That was... sudden. Uhm, well, the first thing you should know is that I'm currently single. I was in a relationship with Cian William Bagley for quite some time, actually. We called it off, or well, he did. We had a pretty great sex life though, since we're being honest here..."
"so, hon, i gotta know, what makes you tick?

"Well, I like a lot of things really, but I'll just name a few. Let's start with the necessities; Clothes and food. I love dresses. I really enjoy dress shopping even if I don't buy any of the dresses. Prom dresses and expensive dresses are my favourite to shop for, but I also love dresses for everyday wear. As for food, I have quite the sweet tooth so it's no wonder I love chocolate. I'm more of a dark chocolate girl, it's just the best comfort food. Chinese food is also pretty great - that and ice cream, Moosetracks. I also love stuffed animals, and animals in general. As strange as it may be, I love moose although I can't say I know the plural form. I have a stuff moose named Steve, or I had him. I lost him at the park when I was eight. He was my favourite. My favourite pasttime revolves around music. I listen to many genres of music, but my favourite is country and oldies. Easy listening is always good for car rides. Speaking of which I love driving. My dad doesn't recommend driving when I'm angry, but in all honesty, it calms me down. I also love taking walks, particularly on the beach and when the sun's setting. I love the beach, sunsets, and night time. It's just so relaxing, so I love it. Anything relaxing is great. What helps me relax is playing guitar, piano, writing songs, and singing. I've been playing guitar since I was nine, and piano since I was six. I started writing songs when I got my first guitar. I also love to perform, but I haven't really gotten the chance to do it much lately. I just think it's great because I get to let loose, and everything I've kept bottled up just comes out. I have a whole lot more energy and I'm more outgoing when music is involved, although I don't like... Well, I'll get into that soon."
"really! well, then, what makes you sick?"

"So I don't really like talking a lot. I mean, I like talking, but unless I'm comfortable with you I prefer to keep it to a minimum. Like, if you've noticed, I've gradually gotten more talkative as this little interview goes on. Speaking about talking, I hate it when I sleep talk because then people always tell me weird things that I've said and it's just embarressing. It's also really embaressing when I sleep walk, which I don't like doing. Like most people, I also don't like my hand writing. When I have time and I want something to look really nice, I like it, but my everyday writing just comes out messy. To stay with possibly school related topics, I also have a strong disliking towards lectures, and mechanical pencils the squeaking is so annoying. Now I guess things that I'm afraid of count as things that I don't like too so I'll jump to that. So I'm afraid of flying on planes, which makes going to Paris very nervewracking as you can probably imagine. I'm also afraid of the dentist. First off, they're just annoying because they talk to you when they have their hands in your mouth and expect youto answer which is just impossible. Then they never let you spit, and having sharp things stuck in my mouth is scary. I'm also afraid of old, shaky elevators. They just give me uncertainty and they scare me. I don't like them at all. And I don't like violence, drugs, swearing, or excessive drinking although I will drink on occasions at parties and such."
"cool, cool. so what's your family like?"

"Well, most of my family is in France right now. We only see them a few times a year. Sometimes we head over there, sometimes they come here. It depends. I'm not really close to any of my extended family for that reason. That's not to say that I'm distant though. My parents would know this. I'm not really in the best relationship with my parents, but it's not that bad. We talk, and we have fun times, but they don't know everything and I'm going to keep it like that. I like my privacy and everyone knows that in a normal relationship there are secrets. That's what my relationship with my parents is - a normal relationship. Me and my brother are really close though, he's two years older than me, but we're really close. We've always been and we're kind of protective of each other. Of course, he's physically more protective of me. If he hadn't known Cian for so long, he probably would've beat him up to be honest. Maybe not, but he's like that. We're very close in comparison to most siblings."
"so, are there any skeletons hiding in your closet?"

"You want... Secrets? Well, first let's just say that I wish I still had my boyf- exboyfriend; Cian. Truth be told, I kind of still love him. It's the kind of thing where you can't just stop loving someone, especially when you've known them for so long and loved the person they were. At the same time, I can't decide whether or not to move on. There's always that bit of hope that something's still there... I won't dwell on that too long, I guess that's one secret? Here's the biggie. Imightbepregnant with Cian's child. I just don't know what to do with it. I mean, I'm not positive yet, and I don't really know what that's supposed to lead to. I can't abort it, I would feel too guilty afterwards and I'm a Catholic. Either way I've gone against the church - sex before marriage and all. So it's always an option... and there's adoption... I just don't know yet."
"that is juicy! tell me about your past."
[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]
"Hmm, well, I've lived in Eureka all my life - okay, almost all my life. I was born in Paris, France in the winter of1991. Like I said, it was the last day of the year and I was born at 11:59 at night. Isn't that great? I love that about my birthday. I would love to say I was the last baby born that year, but I'm sure that there's a kid out their born a second before the year changed. I envy them. At least I know I'm one of the youngest. I don't mind being one of the youngest honestly. I'm the youngest in my immediate family. I have an older brother who was two years old and didn't really know what I was considering he was two and there was a screaming bundle in his face. Like I said, that was in Paris. We had lived in Paris for a long time before that, but we moved to the United States when I was a year and a half old. I have pictures of me in Paris, and I generally go back every year. I have memories from there - not from when I lived there, but from when I visited.
"We moved to the states because... to be honest I never learned the reasoning behind it. Financial issues and my dad's job. My mom was a house wife so there wasn't much she did. She was a pastry chef before my brother was born. She owns a little bakery here in Eureka, nothing big, nothing fancy, but it's famous for it's cupcakes. My dad works for a company and his office is in the nearby city, but we didn't want a big town when we moved. He works at home sometimes, we have an office for him. We all live at home. My brother goes to the community college, and now I do too for Music Education. I always get really excited about it. I would be even more excited if I was at the dorms, but I still live at home. We can't afford the dorms anyway, and it's just easier to be able to be in the comfort of my home when I need to. Granted, it's difficult when my brother decides to be a pain. We still have those childish quarrels sometimes. Being as close as we are, we'll randomly just tackle each other. I know I'm petite, but I like to think I can hold my own. Technically I wouldn't be able to because he goes easy on me, but you never know. Maybe some day I'll kick his butt.
"So that's what my life's been like for a while. I guess I should tell you about Cian and me. We've been together for... God, I don't even know how long really. A good amount of years for sure. We've known each other for a really long time and then suddenly, eight years ago I believe? We just became something more. We've been a part of each other's life for so long that it's difficult to think that we're not anymore. We still talk, but we're just... not as close and that really hurts. About two weeks ago I missed a period, which is where the troubles begin to start. I've taken a test and it came back negative, but you never really know and it still hasn't come so I'm getting pretty nervous. I don't know what to do. I've been a good Catholic all my life. I got my First Communion, and got my Confirmation and everything. There's just one thing. I didn't hold out on the sex part, so I'm kind of in a rut. My parents would be furious, I'm sure, if I came bearing news that I was bearing a child of my exboyfriend... Things wouldn't go over well. Abortion is big though... that's killing a helpless child, but adoption can go wrong... I don't know, I'm confused and scared and... I just need to think."
